The best dating sites for over 60

Eight good options, what each does well and who it suits, so you can choose with confidence.

Which dating sites are best for people over 60?

The best dating sites for over 60 fall into two groups. Sites made for later life, such as Single 60s, SilverSingles, SeniorMatch and OurTime, put you among people of a similar age. All-ages services such as eharmony, Match, Plenty of Fish and Facebook Dating cast a wider net across every adult age. The best one is the one that matches how you like to meet people.

We run Single 60s, so we are not neutral. Everything below about other sites comes from their own pages and app listings, checked in October 2026, with prices and member numbers left out. For side-by-side detail on four of these, see our comparisons.

Which sites are made for older singles?

Single 60s

Online since 2014 and made for people in their sixties and beyond. You get daily suggestions based on age, distance, the relationship you want, lifestyle, interests and beliefs, and you can browse and search yourself. Free members send a set number of messages a day, and ID verification is free. It works in any browser, with no app to install. More on our features page.

SilverSingles

For singles over 50, with a firm minimum age of 50. Its standout is safety: a profile cannot be seen until the member has passed a selfie video check. You browse profile cards and send likes, and a mutual like makes a match. It has apps for iPhone and Android, plus voice and video chat on its paid plan.

SeniorMatch

Also for over 50s, and running since 2001. It stands out for people who want company more than romance: you can join for social activities only, and it has sections for travel mates and activity partners. Free members can browse, view profiles and reply to messages from premium members. SeniorMatch is run by the same company as SilverSingles.

OurTime

Launched in 2011 for singles over 50 and part of Match Group. Free members can build a profile, search, post in Topics and get curated daily matches. It suits people happy to use an app.

Do all-ages dating sites work for over 60s?

They can, if you set the age filter with care. Each has a clear strength.

eharmony

Running since 2000. Every member takes the Compatibility Quiz, and matches come with a compatibility score. It publishes guidance for daters over 60 and has a dedicated Trust and Safety team.

Match

One of the original dating sites, online since 1995 and open to every adult. Free members can make a profile, get daily suggestions and chat with recommended matches, and it runs virtual and in-person singles events such as wine tastings and cooking classes.

Plenty of Fish

An all-ages app from Match Group, for adults 18 and over. Its app listing names selfie verification, search, and an option to limit how many first messages you receive. There is nothing in it aimed at the over 60s specifically.

Facebook Dating

Free, with no paid tier, and found inside the Facebook app. If you already use Facebook it is easy to try. Its recent features are aimed at adults in their twenties, though, and nothing in it is built for the over 60s.

How do you choose the right dating site over 60?

  1. Decide what you are looking for. Friendship, companionship and a serious relationship each point to slightly different sites.
  2. Pick the audience. A site for over 50s or over 60s saves you filtering; an all-ages site gives you range.
  3. Check what free members can actually do, especially messaging. Our guide to free dating sites for over 60 covers this.
  4. Look for verification, human moderation and simple blocking and reporting.
  5. Read how paid plans renew before you buy, on any site.

Whatever you choose, the safety basics are the same: keep early chats on the site, don't send money to anyone you haven't met in person, and pick a public place for a first meeting. Our guide to romance scams over 60 explains the warning signs.

Single 60s is built for daters past 60 and open to any adult 18+. You'll find the rest of our guides on the articles page.

Questions about dating sites over 60

Is a dating agency better than a dating site?

They do different jobs. A dating agency or matchmaker interviews you and introduces you to a small number of people it has chosen, and usually costs much more. A dating site lets you see far more people and choose for yourself, and most are free to join.

Which dating site is best for over 60 and free?

Facebook Dating is free with no paid tier, but it is not built for older daters. Among sites made for later life, Single 60s lets free members send a set number of messages each day.

Are SilverSingles and SeniorMatch connected?

Yes. Both sites name SuccessfulMatch.com, Inc. as their operator in their service agreements.
